Methodologies
Active Methodologies
The following Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) methodologies are active in the VCS Program. Projects may use them when registering a project in Verra’s VCS Program if the projects comply with all VCS Program rules and requirements and if their activities are eligible in the VCS Program (see Table 1 of the latest version of the VCS Standard for a list of excluded activities).
Current Filters
- Sectoral Scope – see VCS Sectoral Scopes for more details
- Mitigation Outcome Labels – Labels may be applied to differentiate between Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) based on greenhouse gas emission reductions and VCUs based on carbon dioxide removals. For more information and guidance on these labels, see the Mitigation Outcome Labels Guidance (PDF) on the VCS Rules and Requirements page.
