Users who do not satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements, accept the Verra Trademark Authorization Terms, and complete the Verra Trademarks: Intended Use Submission are strictly prohibited from using Verra’s trademarks, and doing so may constitute infringement of Verra’s intellectual property rights and may subject the user to liability and damages.
Trademarks
Verra is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered in Washington, District of Columbia, United States of America, and the owner of registered trademarks for its programs, standards, and logos (collectively, “Verra trademarks” or “Verra Marks”).
The Verra logo represents the organization as a whole. The standards and programs Verra develops and manages are globally applicable and widely trusted by a broad range of stakeholders. Verra is committed to providing innovative solutions to environmental and social problems that work for people and the planet.
The Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) logo signifies the quality assurance that goes into each VCS carbon project and credit. The VCS Program is the world’s leading greenhouse gas crediting program. This logo is used to refer to projects, and units or other benefits issued in connection with such projects (where applicable), that have satisfied the relevant requirements of the applicable Verra program.
The Climate, Community, and Biodiversity Standards (CCB) logo represents the credibility of a project’s combined climate, community, and biodiversity benefits. This logo may be used to refer to projects, and units or other benefits issued in connection with such projects (where applicable), that have satisfied the relevant requirements of the applicable Verra program.
The Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) signifies a project’s impact in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This logo may be used to refer to projects, and units or other benefits issued in connection with such projects (where applicable), that have satisfied the relevant requirements of the applicable Verra program.
The Plastic Waste Reduction Standard logo indicates the accounting and crediting of plastic collection and recycling activities. This logo may be used to refer to projects, and units or other benefits issued in connection with such projects (where applicable), that have satisfied the relevant requirements of the applicable Verra program.
The VCS Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ (JNR) logo represents the comprehensive carbon accounting and crediting framework designed to aid governments in the development of REDD+ programs, and nested REDD+ and subnational jurisdictions under such programs. This logo may be used to refer to projects, and units or other benefits issued in connection with such projects (where applicable), that have satisfied the relevant requirements of the applicable Verra program.
The Scope 3 Standard (S3S) logo represents the robust requirements and guidance for the implementation of value chain projects that reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions. This logo may be used to refer to projects, and units or other benefits issued in connection with such projects (where applicable), that have satisfied the relevant requirements of the applicable Verra program.
Using Verra's Trademarks
Step 1. Review the Verra Trademark Authorization Terms and Submit your Intended Use
Complete the Verra Trademarks: Intended Use Submission before using a Verra Mark.
Please note that submission of the form enables Verra to maintain a record of intended trademark use and does not constitute an application for individual approval unless Verra expressly informs you otherwise.
Step 2. Use of Verra Marks
- Use of a Verra Mark is permitted only where the applicable eligibility requirements are satisfied, the Verra Trademark Authorization Terms are accepted, and the Intended Use Submission has been completed and submitted.
- Verra does not separately review or approve each submitted use unless it expressly informs the user otherwise.
- Logo files and additional trademark resources are made available by completing the Intended Use Submission Form.
Step 3. Verra Monitoring and Follow-Up
- Verra may monitor, review, or investigate the use of Verra Marks to confirm compliance with the Verra Trademark Authorization Terms and applicable eligibility requirements.
- At any time, Verra may request additional information or supporting documentation where appropriate.
Report Trademark Misuse to Verra
Please report the suspected misuse of any Verra trademarks, including the Verra logos, to logo@verra.org. Please provide as much information as possible including documents, screenshots, contact information, etc. that indicate the logo misuse. Thank you!
