Dear Colleague,
Having just passed the midway point of 2024, we are reflecting on our accomplishments so far this year and looking ahead to the next half. We are excited to share our insights in the next Stakeholder Update Webinar on Wednesday, July 24, at 11:00 am ET. We hope you will join us!
We have also released our second annual stakeholder survey (external). Last year, as we prepared to launch a new era of scaling our impact, engaging more actively with our stakeholders, and achieving operational excellence, we used insights from this survey to craft a roadmap that would enable this scaling and transformation. As we get ready to update our commitments for the coming year, we again want to hear from you about how we can best deliver impact.
We’d like to bring your attention to the “New Resources” section at the bottom of this newsletter, which we first launched in June. This month, it includes valuable resources related to our Plastic Waste Reduction Program and the Nature Framework, an asset methodology under development in the Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) Program.
Last but not least, Environmental Finance is currently holding a vote to identify voluntary carbon market (VCM) leaders, including project developers, traders, and service providers. Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program, the world’s largest voluntary greenhouse gas (GHG) crediting program, has won the award for “Best GHG Crediting Programme” (formerly “Best Voluntary Carbon Standard”) eleven times since 2012. Additionally, the Verra Registry was voted “Best Registry Provider” every year since 2021, when this category was first introduced.
We hope you’ll consider voting (again) for Verra (external) this year! For more reasons why Verra deserves your vote, read our announcement about the survey.
