11. Fugitive emissions from industrial gases
This methodology quantifies the GHG emission reductions generated by reducing leaks of hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants from commercial refrigeration systems in the United States. HFC leaks can be reduced by early detection using real time leak detection systems.
This methodology is applicable to projects which install real time leak detection systems on commercial refrigeration systems in the United States.
Please note:
Projects seeking to complete registration under VM0001, v1.1 must have requested listing on the Verra Registry before 5 November 2024, and complete validation by 5 May 2025.
