Verra has launched a new registry that is powered by S&P Global Energy and integrated with the Verra Project Hub. The new platform delivers the most significant user experience upgrade in Verra’s history.
Built to scale a growing global carbon market, the platform combines a modern interface, integration with the Verra Project Hub, and powerful new technology that improves transparency, traceability, and efficiency across the carbon credit lifecycle. The integration with the Verra Project Hub lets users track a project’s status in one place from pipeline listing through validation, issuance, transfer, and retirement: a workflow that previously required moving between separate platforms.
Below, please find a comprehensive list of resources and information to help you transition to the new registry, all available on a dedicated webpage (link below).
Resources and Documents
The following documents have been updated for this launch:
Please note that there have been no changes to fees or core account requirements. The updated document includes some updates to reflect the functionality and reference data of the new platform.
Additionally, we have multiple training resources available to help you familiarize yourself with the new registry:
Access Instructions
Existing registry users will need to set up a password to log into the new Verra Registry for the first time. To do so, users need to take the following steps.
- Navigate to the Login page.
- Click “Sign In.”
- Enter the email address associated with your user account (i.e., the email address to which this email was sent).
- Click “Next” and then “Forgot Password?”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your password.
Please note that when logging in for the first time, all users will be required to review and accept the Verra Registry Terms of Use before accessing their account.
If an email is not found in the system, it means it was not associated with a user account as of July 23. In such a case, users should reach out to their account manager to update their email or to be added as a user to a given account.
If you would like to open a new registry account, please refer to section 3 of the Verra Registry User Guide.
Please contact registry@verra.org with any questions.
Please note that information about Verra projects and issuances will remain publicly available. Accessing this information does not require login credentials.
Questions and Support
Verra has published a robust set of FAQs about the transition to the new registry. Any questions that are not answered there or that are account- or project-specific can be sent to registry@verra.org. We have additional resources prepared to answer your questions as quickly as possible.
If you identify any bugs while using the system, you can also report them to registry@verra.org, and we will work to get them resolved as soon as possible.
Suggestions for Improvement
We welcome any suggestions for enhancements to the new Verra Registry. You can share these via the Verra Registry Improvement Suggestions form. We will consider this feedback as we prioritize registry updates over the coming months.
