We are close to finalizing Verra’s short- and medium-term priorities. We recently shared these priorities with you in our recent stakeholder update webinar, along with an update on our strengthened financial position, and welcomed your feedback and your questions.

That said, there is still time to refine these priorities and underlying workplans. The best way to have your voice heard on this topic is to take our stakeholder survey, which is open through March 1. We’d also love to hear from you more generally on where we are succeeding and where we need to change course to better support you and the broader market.

We are also excited to share news highlights from this month, including the application of the first CORSIA labels to carbon credits, the approval of the first credits under a DMRV pilot for high-frequency issuances, and the approval of three million credits from a grassland project in Mexico.

Project Spotlight

In Rwanda, access to clean cooking is improving health outcomes, strengthening livelihoods, and advancing climate action. Through the Tubeho Neza “Live Well” program, implemented by DelAgua Health Rwanda, high-efficiency cookstoves are distributed to rural households free of charge. These improved cookstoves cut firewood use by around 71%, which significantly reduces household air pollution, frees up time spent gathering fuel, and makes everyday life safer and healthier for families across Rwanda.

The Tubeho Neza program relies entirely on carbon finance for its operations. The DelAgua Improved Cookstove Grouped Project (Verra Project 3699) and the DelAguaClean Cooking Grouped Project in Rwanda (Verra Project 4150) use Verra’s VM0050 Energy Efficiency and Fuel-Switch Measures in Cookstoves, a comprehensive and robust Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program methodology that provides a high-integrity approach to quantifying emission reductions in cookstoves.

Read the full impact story and watch the accompanying video to learn how clean cooking initiatives are transforming daily life across Rwanda.
