The EU Carbon Farming Summit 2026 convenes policymakers, project developers, and industry leaders to explore innovations, standards, and collaboration frameworks for high-integrity carbon farming across Europe. The summit features expert panels, interactive discussions, and showcases emerging tools and methodologies to scale carbon farming projects while supporting sustainable rural livelihoods.
Carolina will speak on the co-hosted panel with Seqana and OpenGeoHub on March 18 4:15PM ‘Building public trust in European carbon farming: regulatory support of standards, measurement, and digital infrastructure“, providing clarity on methodology updates, MRV requirements, and building trust for scaling carbon farming projects across Europe.
At the summit, Spencer will speak in the session “Harmonizing forest carbon certification: bridging EU, national, and private schemes for high-integrity carbon farming.” The panel will discuss how aligning certification systems can help strengthen trust and support the growth of forest carbon markets, informed by Verra’s experience with forest carbon standards.
