Corrections Issued to JNR Validation and Verification Process

Verra has issued corrections (PDF) to version 3.0 of the validation and verification process document in the Jurisdictional and Nested REDD+ (JNR) Framework. These corrections align version 3.0 with the current version of the document, JNR Validation and Verification Process, v4.1 (PDF).

The corrections entail removing the option of a JNR Expert Panel peer review and adding information about the technical expertise requirements of the validation/verification body (VVB).

This change enables jurisdictional nested REDD+ programs currently under development to continue using v3.0, if the respective VVB meets the technical expertise requirements.

Programs that contracted a VVB prior to April 15, 2021, are allowed to use the v3.0 of the validation and verification process document, while all other programs must use version v4.1.
