Scope 3 Standard Program Methodologies

Verra is continuing to adapt additional VCS methodologies in collaboration with external stakeholders. Methodologies currently under adaptation include:

• S3S-VM0041 Methodology for the Reduction of Enteric Methane Emissions from Ruminants through the Use of Feed Ingredients, v1.0
• S3S-VM0045 Improved Forest Management Using Dynamic Matched Baselines from National Forest Inventories, v1.0
• S3S-VM0047 Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation, v1.0

Methodology adaptation adheres to requirements set out in the Methodology Adaptation Requirements and procedures set out in the Methodology Adaptation and Review Process documents (both forthcoming). These documents outline how methodology adaptations are proposed and subsequently flow through the approval and adaptation process. Future versions of these documents will also provide details on how new S3S methodologies can be developed from scratch (i.e., not based on the adaptation of an approved VCS methodology). All draft methodologies and proposed changes are subject to extensive reviews by Verra and independent experts and to public consultations, where applicable.
