16. Carbon Capture and Storage
This module is intended to be used in conjunction with VM0049 Carbon Capture and Storage, a globally applicable methodology for project activities involving carbon capture and storage (CCS).
This module provides procedures and requirements to calculate project and leakage emissions for project activities that store CO2 in saline aquifers or depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs.
Depending on the specific design of the CCS project or technology, this module may be combined with VMD0056 and/or VMD0057.
