VM0039, v1.1 provides a framework for the quantification of GHG emission reductions associated with the production and installation of Foam Stabilized Base (FSB) and/or asphalt emulsions as replacements for Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) in road construction projects in the United States. The proposed minor revision to this methodology comprises the following:
- Re-assess and update the baseline performance benchmark to meet VCS requirements and ensure alignment with industry trends and research.
- Institute editorial improvements and corrections, as needed
SUMMARY OF DEVELOPMENT
The proposed revision is being developed by Global Emissionairy, LLC (external) and is currently at “Step 6: Final Verra Review and Decision” of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process, v4.4 (PDF).
