Minor Revision to AMS-III.BM.: Lightweight Two and Three Wheeled Personal Transportation

CDM AMS-III.BM (external) quantifies GHG emission reduction to project activities that shift the mode of transport of urban passengers to mechanical bicycles, tricycles, e-bikes or e-tricycles, by implementing related infrastructure in an urban area such as bicycle lanes, bicycle sharing programs (through dockless bicycles or sharing stations) and bicycle parking areas.

The proposed revision expands the scope of AMS-III.BM (external) to include the use of e-motorcycles that displace fossil-fueled vehicles for food, groceries, and small cargo delivery. The proposed methodology is globally applicable.

The methodology idea note was submitted by ZCO2 (external). It is currently at “Step 4: Public Stakeholder Consultation” of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process (PDF).

The consultation for this proposed methodology (M0280) is open from March 19, 2025 to April 18, 2025. Verra is accepting feedback through its new digital public consultation platform, which is hosted on the Verra Project Hub.
