We are pleased to announce that the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) recently approved Verra’s landmark Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program as fully aligned with the detailed criteria of the Core Carbon Principles (CCPs) for high-quality carbon credits. This approval is a welcome recognition of our work in innovating and evolving market standards to maximize climate impact and advance sustainable development.

This newsletter also features a number of methodology-related announcements. Robust accounting methodologies are one of the four cornerstones of each Verra standards program and provide detailed procedures for quantifying project benefits. Our comprehensive portfolio of methodologies enables our programs to drive finance to a broad range of activities, including nature-based solutions, energy and industrial innovation for reducing or removing emissions, plastic waste reduction and recycling, and nature conservation.
Verra continuously develops new methodologies and regularly revises existing ones to ensure they reflect the latest science and technology. This newsletter includes the latest updates on our Agricultural Land Management methodology, our sustainable grassland methodologies, and the Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) Nature Framework.
