Verra will have a strong presence at this year’s European Climate Summit (ECS) in Lisbon, Portugal, 28-30 March.
We invite you to join us for a side event on “Lessons from the Voluntary Carbon Market for European Carbon Removals Certification,” which is open to virtual attendees. The panel will explore how experiences from the voluntary carbon market can help build the framework for a carbon removals certification in Europe. Andrew Howard, Senior Director, Climate Policy and Strategy, will moderate, and Viridiana Alcantara-Shivapatham, Manager, Agriculture Innovation, will speak on the panel.
Andrew will also participate in a plenary session on “The Evolving Voluntary Carbon Market” and speak at a launch briefing on the Core Carbon Principles, which the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) is hosting.
Anne Thiel, Senior Manager, Communications, Christina Irven, Manager, Events and External Initiatives, and Palak Sharma, Program Officer, Sustainable Development, will also attend and look forward to connecting with stakeholders.
