As a Senior Program Officer, Sustainable Development Programs, at Verra, Palak helps ensure the quality of projects registering with Verra programs and provides technical guidance to program users. She supports the development of Verra’s sustainable development programs (CCB and SD VISta), helping stakeholders achieve the UN’s sustainable development goals.

Palak holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Master of Science in International Social & Public Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE). She also holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Transition Management from Bologna Business School (Italy).

While obtaining her various degrees, Palak co-founded the Green Governance Initiative, which empowers local, young individuals and community groups in India to initiate sustainable development activities with support for their members of parliament. She was also the managing director of the Center for Advanced Studies in Policy Research, during which time she facilitated the provision of improved sanitation services to 5 million people. She has been awarded the Princess Diana Award by HRH, the Duke of Sussex, the PLAN Impact Award, and other recognitions for her work on sustainable development through her organization.

Palak lives in Paris, France. In her free time, she loves to hike, read, explore museums and historical cities, write poetry, and research sustainable and low-waste fashion with hereditary Indian artisans.
