Verra recently included guidance documentation from the High Conservation Value (HCV) Network in the Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB) Standards guidance section on the Verra website.

CCB projects must evaluate whether their project zone contains HCVs and make efforts to enhance them over the project’s lifetime. Guidance from the HCV Network enables projects to identify, manage, and monitor HCVs in their project zone. It also provides guidance to VVBs on assessing the identification, management, and monitoring of HCVs.

The documents include:

  • Common Guidance for the identification of HCV
  • Common Guidance for Management & Monitoring of HCV
  • HCV Assessment Manual
  • HCV Screening Guide
  • Forest Integrity Assessment Tool
