From time to time, guidance is issued to supplement the CCB Program’s rules and requirements. The Climate, Community & Biodiversity Alliance and its member organizations have developed documents that provide recommendations and examples to support the use of the CCB Standards.

Guidance About High Conservation Values

CCB projects must evaluate whether their project zone contains High Conservation Values (HCVs) and make efforts to enhance them over the project’s lifetime. Guidance below from the HCV Network enables projects to identify, manage, and monitor HCVs in their project zone. It also provides guidance to VVBs on assessing the identification, management, and monitoring of HCVs.

A good practice guide for identifying High Conservation Values (HCVs) across different ecosystems and production systems developed by the HCV Network.
