Verra staff participating: Mandy Rambharos, Chief Executive Officer | Candace Vinke, Chief Program Development and Innovation Officer | Sinclair Vincent, Senior Director, Program Development | Valaeria Enciso, Senior Program Officer, Market Relations
North American Carbon World (NACW) is North America’s flagship carbon conference, bringing together carbon market and climate policy leaders to discuss emerging trends, policy developments, and practical approaches to scaling credible, market-based climate solutions.
Sinclair will speak in the fireside chat “Indigenous-Led Impact Through Integrity,” on March 31 at 11:30 AM, which will explore how high-integrity carbon markets can support Indigenous leadership, advance long-term land stewardship, and rebuild trust in voluntary carbon markets using the Akiing Azhenan project as a case study.
Mandy will speak on the panel “The Maturation of Market Standards and Oversight” on April 1 at 1:15 PM. The session will examine recent developments in global market standards, including newly approved methodologies, the growth in issued credits, and evolving oversight frameworks.
Verra will host the workshop “Bridging the Gap: Scope 3 Standards, Interventions, and Integrity,” on April 2 at 9:05 AM, during which Candace will walk you through intervention-based accounting for Scope 3 emissions. The workshop will explore how existing voluntary carbon market safeguards and tools, including Verra’s Scope 3 Standard Program, can complement emissions inventories, address data quality and transparency challenges, and support credible, science-aligned supply chain climate action.
Sinclair will speak on the panel “Return of Renewable Energy”, on April 2 at 12:20pm, which will explore the renewed role of renewable energy in carbon markets, including evolving additionality requirements, declining grid-emission baselines, updated methodologies, and growing expectations around integrity, transparency, and global-scale emissions reductions.
