Latin America Climate Summit (LACS) convenes leaders from across government, business, finance, and carbon markets to advance climate cooperation and support the growth of high-integrity carbon markets across the region. The summit brings together key stakeholders to discuss the policies, partnerships, and market solutions shaping the future of climate action in Latin America and globally.

On Tuesday, June 2 at 1:45 PM, Susana will join a panel hosted by S&P Global Energy titled “From Policy to Trade: Enabling the Next Phase of Carbon Markets”, discussing how key stakeholders are shaping the market’s evolution and how policy frameworks, credit integrity, supply and market liquidity intersect.

Verra will host a side event on June 2 at 4:30 PM on “Navigating Article 6.2 and CORSIA: An Overview of Verra’s Updated Label Guidance“. As carbon markets evolve, clarity on Article 6 and CORSIA implementation is increasingly important. Susana will present Verra’s updated guidance for VCS projects and buyers, reflecting recent UNFCCC and ICAO decisions, with a panel of market experts discussing implementation challenges, corresponding adjustments, and high-integrity credits in international markets.

On Thursday, June 4 at 11:40 AM, Susana will speak on the panel “Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) Phase 1 Countdown: What Airlines Need and What Governments Should Enable”. The session will focus on the policies, market infrastructure, and collaboration needed to support high-integrity implementation of CORSIA Phase 1.
