Co-hosted by Verra, Gold Standard, and the Government of Singapore, this session marks the official launch of the Article 6.2 Crediting Protocol, a collaborative effort to operationalize independent crediting under the Paris Agreement. Building on work initiated at COP28, the protocol aims to provide governments and crediting programs with a standardized, efficient, and integrity-focused model for Article 6 implementation. The session will feature insights from policy leaders and practitioners engaged in cooperative approaches, including a video address from Verra’s Mandy Rambharos.

Hosted by the Government of Misiones and Silvania, this session highlights the development of Argentina’s first subnational Jurisdictional REDD+ Program. The panel will share the province’s journey to reduce deforestation, engage stakeholders, and build a credible, inclusive jurisdictional approach. Leaders from the Ministry of Ecology and Ministry of Climate Change of Misiones will join implementation and private sector partners to explore the program’s structure and lessons learned. Verra’s Annie Groth will speak to the role of standards in enabling high-integrity, scalable climate finance for jurisdictional efforts.
