Verra will host a webinar on Wednesday, 2 February 2022, at 12:00 pm EST on a proposed long-term monitoring system to track potential reversals in AFOLU projects in the VCS Program. This system, which is open for public consultation until 14 February 2022, would remotely monitor all VCS AFOLU projects for reversals after the crediting period and enable Verra to adjust the Non-Permanence Risk Tool Buffer withholdings based on observed losses. In the webinar, Verra will present the proposed approach to developing the long-term monitoring system along with key questions for stakeholders.
