To increase transparency around Verra’s methodology development process, we are now publishing high-level summaries of VCS methodologies, modules, and tools currently under development on our website.
By making this information available earlier on in the methodology development process, Verra seeks to streamline that process, avoid duplication, and expedite the development of new projects.
Developing new carbon accounting methodologies and updating existing ones is key to ensuring that projects registered in the VCS Program reflect the latest science and technology as well as best practices.
