Verra, the world’s leading standard setter for climate action and sustainable development, has approved three new validation/verification bodies (VVBs) for the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program: Ecolance (external site), TÜV Rheinland (external site), and Internat Energy Solutions Canada (external site).

Verra-approved VVBs rigorously assess VCS methodologies, methodology elements, and VCS projects to ensure that they conform with VCS Program requirements and sector-specific best practices. As such, VVBs are critical for guaranteeing the integrity of the projects registered in the VCS Program, as well as the carbon credits that Verra issues to the projects.

By approving these three additional VVBs, Verra continues to ensure that all certified projects are of high quality and that project proponents have ample access to VVBs across a range of sectoral scopes in different regions of the world.
