As Senior Manager, Standards Development, Sinclair helps identify and vet innovation opportunities that strengthen Verra’s existing programs or address other critical environmental and social problems. Sinclair is currently overseeing the development and implementation of Verra’s Plastic Waste Reduction Standard, which aims to enable robust impact assessment of new or scaled-up plastic waste collection and recycling projects.
Previously, Sinclair worked on the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT). She led the ICAT policy assessment guide development team through the launch of the ICAT toolbox in early 2020. She also has experience in measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) at the project level, having previously managed the VCS project review process and the daily operation of the Climate, Community & Biodiversity Standards.
Prior to joining Verra, Sinclair worked at Enviance conducting scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) industry analyses and developing business strategies for GHG reporting.
Sinclair earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from the Bren School at the University of California Santa Barbara, where she focused in Pollution Prevention and Remediation and Corporate Environmental Management. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Florida.
