As Director, Development at Verra, Hillary leads the implementation of the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement strategy. She is a seasoned fundraising professional with more than 16 years of experience supporting environmental and conservation nonprofit organizations, with a strong track record of securing support from individuals, corporations, and private foundations.

Most recently, Hillary served as Vice President of Development at EARTHDAY.ORG, where she led fundraising efforts to advance global environmental advocacy and education initiatives. Prior to that, she was Senior Associate Director of Development, Global Ocean, at The Nature Conservancy (TNC), managing a portfolio of principal-level donors in support of the organization’s marine conservation work.

Hillary also spent nine years at World Wildlife Fund (WWF-US), most recently as Deputy Director, Philanthropic Partnerships, where she led fundraising from U.S.-based private foundations for WWF’s international oceans program. Earlier in her career, she held grants management and fundraising roles at the National Wildlife Federation and the American Forest Foundation.

Hillary has a Master’s degree in International Development, with a focus on youth education, from American University in Washington, DC, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and French from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
