Many of you are gearing up for Climate Week NYC this week, and Verra will have a strong presence in New York as well. We look forward to connecting with many of you in person!

Verra’s new CEO, Mandy Rambharos, will speak at a number of sessions on various topics, including her vision for how Verra can help redefine the future of the voluntary carbon market. Join us at our side event on Tuesday, September 24, “What Will It Take for the Voluntary Carbon Market (VCM) to Thrive?” The event is part of IETA’s North America Climate Summit (NACS) and open to everyone who registered for NACS 2024.

We are also pleased to share that today we launched the initial consultation on updates to the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program which will result in version 5 of the program. This updated version will enhance the program’s integrity, impact, and usability, with the broader objective of enabling the VCM to unlock finance for climate action at the scale and pace needed to halve global emissions by 2030.
