Verra has recently issued updated Communications Agreement Templates, now available on the Verra Registry Overview page as well as on the respective Program Details pages for each Verra program. The updated templates are for single project proponents (.docx) and multiple project proponents (.docx).

These new versions (2.1) of the Communications Agreement Template will be effective on December 1, 2025. All projects must use versions 2.1 of the templates from that date onward. Project proponents who have not yet initiated the process of signing a communications agreement with Verra are encouraged to use the new template.

The purpose of the communications agreement is to designate an authorized representative who acts as an agent on a project’s behalf with respect to the project and/or the relevant Verra Registry account(s). A project can only have one authorized representative at any given time.

As a next step, the communications agreement will be digitalized and will be available in the Verra Project Hub shortly thereafter. Project proponents will be required to use the digital form once it is available.
