This methodology quantifies the GHG emission reductions generated from improving forest management and preventing the planned degradation of a forest by stopping selective logging. This methodology accounts for a reduction in GHG emissions by stopping logging as well as an increase in carbon stock growth.
This methodology is applicable to previously logged or intact tropical forests where selective logging would have occurred in the absence of carbon finance.
