The proposed tool establishes procedures for the continuous quantification of net changes in emission reductions, removals, or carbon stocks over an integrated project area using atmospheric-based observations. Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) of greenhouse gases (GHGs) is done directly in real-time, by measuring the GHG exchange between the land surface and the atmosphere (aMRV).

- The methodology was originally proposed by Hyphen Global, AG.
- On April 1, 2026 the development of this tool was put on hold per the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process (PDF).
- Verra will reassess whether to resume the development of this methodology in Q3 2026.
