Revision to VMR0012 Production of Geopolymer Cement, v1.0

The proposed revision expands the applicability of VMR0012 to include OPC reduction achieved through advanced admixtures, specifically carbon nanofiber (CNF) additives. The revision also clarifies boundary conditions for cases in which CNFs are produced in one country and applied in another.

On March 16, 2026, the development of this revision was rejected per the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process (PDF) due to the following reasons:

• Available resources, including funding, Verra staff time, and external expertise, are limited.
• This proposal does not satisfy the criteria under Section 3.1.11 of the MDRP as fully as other ideas.
