Revision to ACM0001 “Large-scale Consolidated Methodology Flaring or use of landfill gas” to encompass removals of emissions at too low a concentration to support flaring or combustion

The proposed methodology revision applies to methane emissions from landfills.  This revision addresses destruction (oxidization) of CH4 at levels below the flaring threshold.

The methodology idea note was submitted by Bennu Climate, Inc (external). It was archived on March 31, 2025 since it overlaps with pre-existing Verra priorities which may involve a revision to CDM methodology ACM0001. During that revision process, these ideas may be considered.
