Methodology for Reducing Emissions through the Implementation of Electric Hand Dryers in Public Restrooms

The proposed methodology applies to project activities that install energy-efficient electric hand dryers to replace paper towel dispensers in public restrooms. The proposed methodology is globally applicable.

The concept note was rejected by Verra, as per Section 3.1.5(2) and 3.2.5(4) of the Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.2 (PDF). The decision was based on low climate change mitigation potential compared to other proposals and concerns regarding additionality and baseline demonstration.
