Methodology for Energy-saving through Elevator Regenerative Power System Implementation

The proposed methodology applies to projects that install power control and energy storage systems to capture electrical energy generated from elevators for various operational uses.

The methodology idea note was rejected by Verra, as per Section 3.1.6(3) of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.2 (PDF). The decision was based on the proposal’s limited applicability and low climate change mitigation potential compared to other proposals.
