Happy January 2026! We hope everyone had a good start to the year.

We ended 2025 with the launch of version 5 of the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program, introducing the program’s most comprehensive social and environmental safeguards and placing communities at the center of climate action.

In the next several months, we will continue the rollout of the program’s new version by releasing updated templates and additional program documents. We will also offer an initial 90-minute overview webinar on Wednesday, February 4, at 10:00 am ET, with other specialized training sessions to follow.

We also look forward to launching a new next-generation registry in the coming months! We will begin sharing concrete details and reaching out to account holders in the near future and will also publish all transition-related information on our website.
