Expanded statuses for projects in all Verra programs are now operational in the Verra Registry. This ensures that up-to-date information about where each project is in the certification process is transparently available to all stakeholders.
For projects in the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program, the Verra Registry now shows when projects are late to verify and have had project review requests denied. These options bring the Verra Registry statuses for VCS projects in line with the latest version of the Registration and Issuance Process, v4.4.
For the Climate, Community & Biodiversity Standards (CCBS) Program; the Plastic Waste Reduction Program (Plastic Program); and the Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) Program, expanded statuses also reflect project review request denials as well as the expiration of public comment periods, among other updates.
As a next step, Verra will update all project statuses in the Registry to reflect the expanded status options.
