Anshari Rahman is Director of Strategy & Development (Policy & Analytics) at GenZero, where he leads the firm’s work on carbon market regulations, international standards, and climate policy to support investments in decarbonization solutions.

He previously served as a climate change negotiator with Singapore’s National Climate Change Secretariat under the Prime Minister’s Office. In this role, he represented Singapore at international forums including the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and ASEAN. As Singapore’s lead negotiator on carbon markets, he co-chaired negotiations under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and helped shape the country’s national carbon market strategy.

Anshari also serves on the board of South Pole and is a member of the advisory board for the S&P Global meta-registry initiative. He holds a BSc in Life Sciences, specializing in Genetics and Microbiology, from the National University of Singapore.
