Methodology for Reducing the Production and Use of Pesticides and Fertilizers by using High-precision Agriculture

The proposed applies to project activities that utilize high-precision agriculture, which reduces the use of fertilizers and pesticides and N2O emissions while achieving similar yields as in the baseline scenario. The proposed methodology is globally applicable and covers a variety of high-precision agriculture technologies.

The methodology idea note was rejected by Verra, as per Section 3.1.5 of the Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.2 (PDF). The decision was based on low climate change mitigation potential compared to other proposals.
