Verra is pleased to announce the launch of a new Stakeholder Support Team. The three-person team will be responsible for collecting stakeholder questions about specific projects and Verra programs, answering those within their scope, and coordinating with other Verra team members to provide responses for questions outside their scope.
With this new team, Verra aims to streamline its stakeholder inquiry process and provide faster responses, gathering both project-specific and program-related questions through one communications channel. This support service is a component of the “operational excellence” priority area under the New Era for Verra initiative.
Initially, the team will primarily focus on assisting with project-specific inquiries received through the new Stakeholder Contact Form on the Verra Project Hub. These questions may pertain to a project’s status, general information about Verra program rules and methodologies, and technical issues related to the Verra Project Hub.
Cassio Souza, director, Program Secretariat, will lead this work. Cassio is an experienced professional bringing more than fifteen years of experience in sustainability; environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies; agriculture; and academia. Cassio will work closely with other teams within the Program Management Department to ensure efficiency on project requests and clear communication with relevant stakeholders.
