The Independent: “‘It will save the world’: Put Africa at heart of climate fightback, Cop26 told”

This piece in The Independent by Louise Boyle discusses an event hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta on 3 November 2021 at COP26 in Glasgow focused on African carbon-rich landscapes. African politicians, including Uganda’s and Rwanda’s ministers of environment and Gabon’s minister for climate change, spoke about the importance of halting deforestation and the value of African tropical forests as carbon sinks.
