Revisions to AM0073: Multi-site manure collection and treatment in a central plant

CDM methodology AM0073 (external) is applicable to project activities where manure is collected from multiple livestock farms and subsequently treated in a single central treatment plant. Existing anaerobic manure treatment systems in multiple livestock farms are replaced with a central treatment plant with one or a combination of animal waste management systems (AWMS) that results in less GHG emissions.

The scope of the proposed minor revision includes:

• incorporation of existing AM0073 Corrections and Clarifications:  E&C AM0073 (11Apr23) (PDF) and C&C AM0073 (15Jan24) (PDF).
• incorporation of minor updates from M0284 and M0290 that aim to make the methodology more applicable and easier to implement for projects involving small farms by addressing monitoring and logistical challenges.
• other minor improvement to language and readability.

On March 24, 2025, the development of this revision was archived per the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process (PDF) due to the following reasons:

• Overlap with ACM0010
• Broader internal strategies related to a consolidated methodology for manure management (M0443)
