Module for Performance Method for Reduced Impact Logging in Natural Forest of the Northern Republic of the Congo

This proposed module quantifies GHG emission reductions associated with the implementation of Reduced Impact Logging for Climate (RIL-C) practices in natural forests of the northern Republic of the Congo. The module is applicable to a wide range of conditions, locations, and concession ownerships. It is to be used in conjunction with VCS methodology VM0035 Methodology for Improved Forest Management through Reduced Impact Logging, v1.0.

The proposed module was submitted by The Nature Conservancy (external), and is currently at “Step 4: Public Stakeholder Consultation” of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process (PDF).

The consultation for this proposed module (M0183) is open from March 11, 2025 to April 10, 2025.
