Verra is pleased to welcome Justin Wheler as Senior Director, Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program Development! Justin joins the Program Development and Innovation team, led by Toby Janson-Smith, Chief Program Development and Innovation Officer.
As carbon markets continue to expand and evolve, Justin will ensure that the VCS Program continues to meet the demands and needs of the market and its stakeholders and is aligned with market needs, new technologies, key integrity initiatives, and emerging policy opportunities.
Justin brings a wealth of experience in carbon markets, standards, and protocols. He led large teams to oversee the implementation and continual improvement of North America’s first industrial greenhouse gas emissions regulation, its associated regulatory emissions trading system, and Alberta’s first consumer carbon tax.
