VCS in South Africa Webinar: Feet on the Ground — Demonstrating the Beyond-Carbon Benefits of Carbon Projects

Our monthly South Africa webinar on 31 March 2021 focused on demonstrating the beyond-carbon benefits of carbon projects. In addition to Verra’s Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the world’s leading greenhouse gas (GHG) crediting program, projects can use the Climate, Community and Biodiversity (CCB) Standards and the Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISta) to indicate that they have undergone additional due diligence and that the Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) from these projects offer social and environmental benefits as well.

Thank you to everyone who joined us.

For those of you unable to attend, we recorded the session. The lively Q&A session included questions about timelines, fees, guidance on stand-alone CCB, SD Vista and/or VCU project registration, what an SD Vista label looks like, and how the carbon finance gets to communities on the ground.
