Verra invites proposals for the development of a new VCS methodology for improved thermal energy generation units.
The methodology quantifies greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions from the deployment of improved heat generation units that use technologies with higher efficiency and cleaner fuels (e.g., for cooking and heating). Heat generation units include, but are not limited to, cookstoves, ovens, and dryers. The methodology will consolidate elements of the thermal energy generation unit methodologies eligible in the VCS Program. It will also include additional project activities, represent best practices, streamline monitoring approaches, and reflect the latest heat generation technologies, baseline fuels, and quantification methods.
Please view the Request for Proposals: Development of Consolidated Methodology for Improved Thermal Generation Units for further details, including the scope of work, deliverables, timelines, and requisite skills and qualifications to apply.
Please submit your proposal by Friday, 8 July 2022 to Cai May Tan, Senior Program Officer (cmtan@verra.org).
