VM0041 v2.0 (PDF) provides procedures to estimate enteric methane emission reductions generated from the inhibition of methanogenesis through the introduction of a feed ingredient into ruminants’ diets.
This proposed module aims to revise VM0041 to introduce a module for project activities that reduce N2O emissions from excreta disposal by replacing conventional feed with amino acid-balanced low-protein feed for cattle.
The methodology idea note was submitted by Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (opens on external site) and is currently on hold, pending further developments with another ongoing VM0041 revision, M0199, as per Section 3.2.5(2) of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.3 (PDF).
