Methodology for Recycling or Repurposing Waste and Retired Batteries

 
This proposed methodology estimates GHG emission reductions generated from the recycling and/or repurposing process of lithium-ion batteries, such as retired electric vehicle batteries, computer, communication, and consumer electronics (3C) lithium batteries, and energy storage batteries. It applies to project activities producing repurposable battery products or recycling battery materials.

The concept note was submitted by ZCycle LLC and is currently at Step 2: Methodology Concept Note Development of the Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.2 (PDF).
