The proposed methodology applies to project activities that involve switching cargo transportation from road vehicles to full-electric belt conveyors to reduce GHG emissions from fossil fuel consumption.
SUMMARY OF DEVELOPMENT
The methodology idea note was rejected by Verra, per Sections 3.1.5(1) and 3.1.5(2) of the Methodology Development and Review Process, 4.2 (PDF). The decision was based on the proposal’s limited applicability (covering only electric conveyor belts) and low climate change mitigation potential compared to other proposals.
