Methodology for Management of Livestock Waste for the Production of Renewable Energy and Heat

The proposed methodology applies to projects that transport, and process livestock manure at central treatment plants into recovered biogas. Eligible end uses for the biogas include destruction through flaring or combustion, or utilization. The proposed methodology is globally applicable.

The methodology idea note was submitted by CS Climate Solutions (opens on external site) and is currently at “Step 1: Methodology Idea Note Submission” of the VCS Methodology Development and Review Process, v4.3 (PDF).
