Methodology Idea Note
M0230
14. Agriculture, Forestry, Land Use
The proposed methodology applies to projects that adjust the structure of bamboo forests. It covers improvement and optimization methods related to the density, age composition, site fertility, and productivity of the forest. There are various techniques for adjusting the forest’s structure, such as applying optimal fertilizer, adjusting the harvest-retain ratio, removing suitable bushes and grass, and loosening the soil. This methodology can be applied in pantropical regions where bamboo grows naturally, as well as non-native areas that have been artificially modified to support its growth. This includes countries and territories in South, Southeast and East Asia, Africa, South America, and other regions.
