Methodology for Avoided Bottom Trawling

 
This proposed methodology applies to projects that reduce bottom trawling in a country’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) to avoid CO₂ emissions caused by the resuspension of ocean floor sediment due to this type of fishing. The methodology includes global and local default values, and guidance for developers to create their own locally-specific values for the avoidance of carbon emissions caused by bottom trawling.
